A brief history |

Merrimans was started in 1951, by Paddy Merriman, pictured right in the flat cap, under the name P. Merriman Limited. Its primary business operation was contracting and plant hire. Our first job was at Shady Lane in Leicestershire. The Company grew and grew over the years. By the early 1990's we were involved in Plant Sales, Plant Repair Services, Earthmover Tyros and Contracting & Plant Hire. In 2004 the company has continued to diversify and has moved towards Property Development and Training Services. The property development side is mainly aimed at the regeneration and development of Brownfield sites. Throughout the development of the company we have remained true to the principles that Paddy established over fifty years ago. He built a reputation for personal service, quick decision making and thorough workmanship. These remain the hallmarks of Merrimans today. |
