Registrations launched for interest in Nottingham site

Having changed the use of this site from employment to residential, Merriman is now taking registrations of interest.
Annesley Colliery in Hucknall Road, Nottinghamshire has outline planning consent for 124 residential units and comprises 3.15ha (7.78 acre), subject to completion of a Section 106 agreement.
Merriman will remediate and validate this land ready for development from mid to end of 2012. The northern part of the former colliery site was also remediated by Merriman at an earlier date and is under development by Persimmon and Morris Homes.

Merriman's head office move

Merriman Limited has settled in to a new head office on Charnwood Edge Business Park in Cossington.
The company, which developed a selection of smart business units at the popular site, has now converted a former joinery unit to create its own modern, airy office space which benefits from a vibrant, contemporary feel.
In a separate move, Giant UK - known as 'The Global Bicycle Company' - is growing its presence on the business park and has occupied a smart, two-storey office built by Merriman. Giant's arrival re-enforces the diversity of companies at Charnwood Edge.

YOUNGSTERS from Newstead Primary School played their part alongside Merriman Limited in putting the final re-used car tyre in the wall of the Newstead Earth Centre on Friday - part of a huge regeneration project that is breathing new life into a former local mining community. Part of the £400,000 project has included the building of the earth centre made out of hundreds of old tyres. Read more >>
Merrimans in head office move

Merriman Limited is moving its head office - but only a few hundred yards on Charnwood Edge Business Park in Cossington.
The company is converting a former joinery unit to create a modern, airy office space but in the meantime is moving into temporary accommodation on site.
The company will move out of its existing offices on Thursday, April 21 and into temporary accommodation at Unit 18, Charnwood Edge Business Park, on Tuesday, April 26. The new premises will be ready for occupation by the end of May.
In a separate move, Giant UK - known as 'The Global Bicycle Company' - is growing its presence on the business park. They will occupy a two-storey contemporary office built by Merriman - and their arrival simply re-enforces the diversity of companies at Charnwood Edge.

Merriman wins remediation contract

Merriman has won the contract to remediate land on a former industrial site between Sheffield and Barnsley in South Yorkshire. As part of the works Merriman Remediation will mitigate costs to the client by removing shallow coal reserves at the former Deepcar Brickworks and then bring the land back into use. Read more >>
